Norlite: for Environmental Applications

100% Natural Product

Perlite is a naturally occurring, volcanic rock. It is inert I with  a PH of 7: and its an ECO  friendly product with Organic input certifications OMRI & CDFA

Green environment:

Used as a soil medium with Roof Top Gardens due to its light weight. A excellent medium for Hydroponic Gardens, and a low weight clean aggregate

Filter media

Perlite is increasingly used to filter solids from contaminated water and absorb hazardous liquid waste due to its high-surface area, light weight, low-reactivity, and availability in a variety of grades and sizes.

Insulating low temperature

Perlite is also ideal for insulating low temperature and cryogenic vessels.

Perlite's outstanding insulating characteristics and light weight, make it an ideal for packing cold storage containers with insulation material

High heat resistance.

A variety of foundry applications utilizing perlite's insulating properties and high heat resistance.

This same heat resistant property is taken advantage of when perlite is used in the manufacture of refractory bricks, mortars, and pipe insulation

Other applications include its use as a filter media for:

  • pharmaceuticals,

  • food products,

  • chemicals and water for municipal systems and swimming pools.

other applications include its use as an: abrasive in soaps, cleaners, and polishes

Perlite is increasingly used to filter solids from contaminated water and absorb hazardous liquid waste due to its high-surface area, light weight, low-reactivity, and availability in a variety of grades and sizes.

It is used in the transportation sector to filter stormwater runoff from roads and highways. It is found in eco-roofs where it is used to reduce the effects of stormwater surges.

And fine perlite is used to absorb sludge prior to transport to landfills

Used as light weight grow medium when mixed with peat moss makes it ideal for roof top gardens.
